ROTATING EQUIPMENTS DIVISION

The rotating equipments division is operated by a well trained group of qualified and flexible experienced technicians.

A wide range of tools and equipment are on hand in this department these include.

 

  •  Portable pumps.

  •  Portable generators.

  •  Portable compressors.

  •  Bench drills and portable hand drills.

  •  Various hands tool electric and pneumatic.

  •  Bench grinders and portable and grinders.

  • One dynamic balancing machine for rotary equipment.

 

  • Five lapping machines for disc and gate preparation up to forty-two inch.

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment for low and high-pressure applications.

  • Overhead crane facilities included at this time are a five tonne crane and recently added to the workshop facility a new crane with a lifting capacity of ten tonne.  

These provide the entire necessary infrastructure required for a modern maintenance shop. We are already approved by the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Refinery) for pump and valve repair maintenance. Our existing contract with Bahrain Petroleum Company covers all repair and testing of refinery valves in accordance to API 598. Additional shut downs with boiler and utility valves for inspection and repair have been carried out during the last four year period for annual shutdowns, at Aluminium Bahrain power plant. (Alba) The Bahrain National Gas Co. (Banagas) and Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) have also supplied valves for inspection, repair and testing.

Other government bodies who have supplied pumps and valves for repair are the water distribution Directorate and also the sewerage Directorate. Recently this division has carried out several functions on repairs to pumps, pipes and valves on board ships for the US Navy.
